STEAM in Nature for Business

Hands On STEAM plans holding an annual Youth Business Fair and several pop-up Youth Farmers Markets. These are events organized by Hands On STEAM where learners showcase and sell products they have created or grown themselves. These events provide a platform for learners to experience entrepreneurial skills, develop creativity, and gain hands-on experience in business and marketing.

At Hands On STEAM's Youth Business Fairs, young entrepreneurs typically set up booths or stalls to display and sell their handmade crafts, artwork, baked goods, or other products. They are responsible for every aspect of their business, from product development and pricing to marketing and sales. This experience helps learners acquire the knowledge about entrepreneurship, money management, customer service, and teamwork in a supportive and educational environment.

Similarly, in a Youth Farmers Market organized by Hands On STEAM learners may sell fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, or other agricultural products that they have grown in a school garden or through other gardening projects. This provides children with an opportunity to learn about sustainable agriculture, food production, and healthy eating habits, while also developing business skills and interacting with customers.

These events not only offer valuable learning experiences for learners but also foster a sense of community involvement and support for Hands On STEAM. They often attract parents,  and members of the local community who come to support and encourage the young entrepreneurs and farmers. Overall, Hands On STEAM's Youth Business Fairs and Youth Farmers Markets are fun, educational, and empowering events that promote creativity, entrepreneurship, and environmental stewardship among children.
